Begin the Beguine

First blog entry. A place holder while I get my head around the settings of the blogger interface. 
I don't like takeaways! My fridge is always well stocked with fresh ingredients. I have a small repertoire of recipes that I am adding to all the time. The internet is a gold mine of great recipes. Sites like BBC Food I may make a simple Nicoise or Greek salad or fresh raw salsa dip with pitta bread or tortilla chips. Real easy, but I know it is fresh and most imortantly of all, I know what's in it.
I love making homemade soups and artisan bread. Cakes and cookies.
I enjoy taking the time to prepare and make delicious, simple uncomplicated food. Cooking is my way of unwinding at the end of the day.
